This collection was purchased by the New England Regional Center of Excellence in Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases (NERCE/BEID) in February 2006. These compounds were specifically chosen by Dr. Tudor Oprea's group at the University of New Mexico to increase the overall diversity of the ICCB-Longwood collection, as well as for favorable physico-chemical properties such as solubility, decreased toxicity, and increased stability.

Hit2Lead.com supports searches of the ChemBridge supply libraries based on structure, ID number, or compound name. The structure-based search function requires installing plug-ins from MDL and is currently compatible only with Windows.

Instructions for ordering Chembridge compounds online using www.Hit2Lead.com.

1. Orders can be placed using either Windows or Macintosh computers, but structure-based searches can only be performed on a Windows PC that has either ChemDraw or ISIS/Draw installed. For local users, the PC in Seeley Mudd 606 named “ActivityDatabase 2” is configured correctly for structure searches.

2. Site registration is free and required for access. The information supplied during registration is stored as your primary billing and shipping address.

3. After you register, a help menu is available on the left menu rail for assistance. More information is available at Hit2lead.com help.

4. To search by structure, double-click on the “Structure Field” blank box to open a ChemDraw or ISIS/Draw screen. Enter the structure of the compound you wish to query and close the ISIS/Draw window. You will be prompted to transfer the drawing before closing the program; click “yes”.

5. For each desired compound, select an amount and add to basket. Some compounds (5 mg amount) can be shipped RUSH in 24-48 hours, with an extra charge. Compound shipments generally arrive within two to five weeks. NOTE: resupply of 100% of the compounds is not guaranteed due to availability and difficulty of resynthesis. Generally, 75% are available for re-order.

6. To search by compound number, click "Search by ID" on the left menu rail. The ChemBridge ID number of each compound can be found in the "Object Name" field in the SARgen search report. Place the digit "5" before this number when ordering from Hit2Lead.com. For example, if the object name of the Chembridge compound is ****** in ActivityBase/SARgen, then enter 5****** in the "ID" box in the Hit2Lead.com "Search by ID" page.

7. Save the basket once the order is complete; it may be accessed for 30 days. Proceed to order your basket, and confirm the order information. Click on “proceed” and then “proceed to order” to open the billing screen. This screen summarizes the order cost including shipping and applicable taxes. Use this information to obtain a Purchase Order number from the financial office in your lab or department. A PO number is required to process the order. You can quickly retrieve your saved basket, add the PO number, and complete the order.

8. Requests for resynthesis of ChemBridge compounds are not available on Hit2lead.com. If resynthesis is required, please contact ChemBridge directly.
