This collection was purchased by a NIH U01 grant to Dr. Junying Yuan, HMS Cell Biology Department, in September 2006. These compounds were specifically chosen by Dr. Tudor Oprea's group at the University of New Mexico to increase the overall diversity of the ICCB-Longwood collection, as well as for favorable physico-chemical properties such as solubility, decreased toxicity, and increased stability.
